Welcome! We’re Kevin & Kisha, Founders of Inked with Wanderlust.
We started this website with the intent of helping you discover beautiful, amazing places throughout California, Nevada, and beyond by publishing detailed, accurate travel and hiking guides (with a plethora of beautiful photos).
Both of us were born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Shortly after we met and began dating, we relocated to Northern Nevada and have called the Battle Born State home ever since.
My passion for photography, hiking and travel began in 2015 while I was on a hike in Lake Tahoe. At the time, I was using a Samsung Note 3 to take pictures that I could show to Kisha (due to an injury, she couldn’t hike at the time).
After posting the pictures to social media, I received a lot of positive feedback from friends and family. I’ve always had an interest in photography but from that day forward, I became obsessed with learning the craft.
With hundreds (now thousands) of pictures to my name and an ever increasing frustration with travel websites that provided inaccurate and vague information, I decided to launch my own site.
After a couple years of overcoming self-doubt and fearing the unknown (and a little bit of procrastination), I launched Inked with Wanderlust on November 17th, 2020. It was such an amazing feeling that I’ll never forget.
Initially, it was just me, with Kisha as my support system. As time went on, though, Kisha began to take on an active roll with the site and the rest, as they say, is history.
I capture the majority of the images you’ll see. I also write the posts. Kisha handles most of the video work, social media management, and is the site editor.
It is our hope that you’ll find our website helpful in discovering your next hiking trail or vacation destination. It’ll continue to grow and expand as we go.
